🚨 You see mold in your house… now what?

First step: stay away from that area and call a mold testing company ASAP. They’ll test it, tell you what type it is (like stachybotrys aka toxic black mold), and write a protocol for removal.

Next: hire a licensed remediation company. Give them the protocol. They should:
• Build a full containment structure to the exit (so spores don’t spread).
• Run air scrubbers + dehumidifiers while they work.
• NEVER walk from the containment into clean parts of your home—this is cross contamination and makes things worse.

After remediation, the air scrubbers keep running and the containment stays up until you get test results showing the air is clean. Then the structure comes down, you’ll see the source of the moisture/leak, and a contractor can fix it and rebuild.

From flat panel shaker to thin shaker and fully custom designs, we ensure every kitchen is safe and stunning.

Urea formaldehyde is extremely common in cabinetry, and sadly, many companies that claim to use wood are actually using standard plywood with urea formaldehyde, which off-gasses for up to seven years.
